That was our reaction when the Mequon-Thiensville School Board finally met and officially accepted our almost 18,000 signatures on recall petitions against four incumbents board members - and set a recall election date.
The date is Tuesday, November 2nd - less than six weeks away!
It certainly wasn’t something the School Board wanted to do, that’s for sure. But because dozens of volunteers went into the streets, going door to call, calling our neighbors, they had to cave. The incumbents even tried - and failed - to get our petitions thrown out!
Four candidates will be stepping up shortly to run in those recall elections and give the power of the school bureaucracy back to parents and neighbors in this district. The next step: getting these four candidates off on the right foot and pulling the resources together to win against the status quo and their allies who’ve allowed academic standards to shrink and cut parents out of the process.
We need your help. And we need it today.
It will cost thousands of dollars to run against the four entrenched incumbents who’ll do anything to hang on and keep parents and taxpayers in the dark about what’s really going on with our kids for most of every day. They will fight back, continuing to mislead the public. We can’t let that happen. We’ve come too far.
Please - we need your help now. Clink the “EZ link” below to contribute now - right now - to our successful recall committee. Every penny will be used wisely to get four good neighbors elected.
Many thanks for your help today. We’ve won our first big victory. We know we can finish the job and make sure our kids get the education they deserve.
Recall MTSD School Board Committee
P.S.: They said it couldn’t be done, getting almost 18,000 signatures - and we all worked together and got it done. We can’t turn back, our kids, our schools, our communities are at stake. Please contribute whatever you can today!
Thank you so much for your continued support! The generous contributions we receive will help us to achieve our goal of restoring educational excellence to the Mequon-Thiensville School District.
